Export from Ento — while you still can
Export your people and leave data from Ento — any CSV export works; the importer maps the columns automatically. Do this first: when a platform closes, the deadline that matters is the day exports stop working.

Run the import
Settings → Import / Migrate → Ento. Upload the CSVs and preview: every person, department and booking is listed before anything is written.

Invite the team
Send invites from the People page when you're ready — importing never emails anyone until you say so. Departments are set, leave history is already on the wall chart. Done.

What does the importer bring across from Ento?
People (names, emails, roles and start dates), departments and teams from Ento's locations and areas, leave types from your Ento leave categories, and the full leave history — approved, pending, declined and cancelled requests, half days included. Working patterns start on a Monday–Friday default you can adjust per person or department afterwards.
How long does the import take?
The upload and preview take seconds — most of the work is exporting from Ento in the first place. Once you have the CSVs, teams are typically imported and inviting staff the same day.
What happens to our leave history?
It comes with you. Imported bookings appear on the wall chart and in reports just like bookings made in Rotaleave, so absence patterns and Bradford factor scores stay meaningful from day one.
Does the importer bring leave balances across?
Not automatically — Ento's accrual balances don't map cleanly onto annual allowances, and a silent guess would be worse than an honest gap. The good news: everyone starts on your standard allowance, and imported leave already counts against it, so most balances are right from day one. Set a per-person allowance or an opening adjustment for the exceptions — carry-over, extra contractual days — after the import; for most teams it's a few minutes' work.
Our Ento export has different column names — will it still work?
Very likely. Ento exports are custom templates, so the importer accepts the common variations, and the preview names any column it doesn't recognise rather than silently dropping it. Adjust the export and re-run — the same person or booking is never duplicated.
Some of our Ento staff have no email address — is that a problem?
Each person needs an email address to log in to Rotaleave. The preview flags any row without one so you can add emails to the export and re-run — nothing is imported until every blocker is resolved.

Yes. Teams of 10 or fewer people use every feature free, forever. Bigger teams pay £5/month plus £1 per person over 10, and everyone starts with a 30-day free trial — no card required. VAT is added at checkout where applicable.
