Rota software by industry

Every trade has its own rota problems. A pub closes after midnight, a salon counts holiday in hours, and a warehouse cannot let all its forklift drivers take the same week off. These pages show how Rotaleave handles each one, and where it stops.

What every team gets

  • A week grid with a row for each person, shift templates, and weeks you can copy or repeat.
  • Holiday on the same screen, with a warning on any shift that lands on someone’s leave. Book it in days or hours.
  • Publish the week and staff get an email, plus a push notification if they use the iPhone or Android app.
  • Clock-in from the app or a shared tablet, and weekly timesheets checked against the rota.
  • Skills with expiry dates, and cover rules that check holiday requests before you approve them.

It is all one account. Teams of 10 or fewer pay nothing; bigger teams pay £5 a month plus £1 for each person over 10, plus VAT where it applies. See rota scheduling for the full detail, or pricing.

Where Rotaleave is not the right fit

Rotaleave plans people at your own premises. It is not built for sending staff out to many client sites, as cleaning and security contractors do. It does not take client appointments or table bookings, and it does not run payroll: it exports the hours to your payroll provider.

Planning on paper first? The free staff rota template for Excel is a weekly grid that adds up hours and flags short rest.
