Connect Slack and Microsoft Teams

Get Rotaleave notifications in Slack or Microsoft Teams — org-level connection by an admin, then a one-time personal account link.

Updated 11 July 2026

Both integrations follow the same two-step shape: an admin connects the organisation once, then each person links their own account. Both are enabled per organisation — if a card says the integration “isn’t enabled for your organisation”, contact us to switch it on. Everything lives at Settings → Integrations.

Slack

Admin — connect the workspace:

  1. On the Slack card, click Add to Slack.
  2. Approve the Slack authorisation screen for your workspace.
  3. Back in Rotaleave the card reads “Connected — workspace ending ****xyz”.

Everyone — link your account: under Link my Slack account, paste your Slack member ID (in Slack: your profile → MoreCopy member ID) and click Link. Rotaleave only links it if your Slack profile email matches your Rotaleave email — that check is what stops someone claiming your notifications.

Microsoft Teams

Admin — connect the tenant:

  1. Install the Rotaleave bot in the Teams Admin Center (Microsoft’s side of the handshake).
  2. On the Microsoft Teams card, paste your Microsoft 365 AAD tenant ID and click Connect.

Everyone — link your account: it’s automatic. The first message you send the Rotaleave bot in Teams links your identity. (Admins also have a manual link field on the card as an escape hatch for awkward cases.)

Disconnecting

Admins can disconnect either integration from the same card. The confirmation spells out the consequence: everyone in the organisation stops being reachable through that app and linked identities are removed — you can reconnect at any time. Notifications by email carry on regardless; chat is an addition, not a replacement. Control what you’re notified about in notification preferences.
